FITTING ROOM OF KARMA
PART-1 OF “LINGA OF KARMA” SERIES OF POEMS
I woke up in a surreal serene place,
with no doors no windows,
vast expanse of intangible space,
cool soothing calming aura,
lush green colorful fragrant facade,
décor was of transparent
non-tangible floating body frames,
of all living being forms
types shapes sizes make,
everything seemed ethereal,
apparition and a mirage;
Astonished I looked around,
there were no tangible objects,
no physical bodies to see,
only spirit of soul around,
no manmade images of any beings,
no religious symbols,
no identifying attire,
no ritualistic remains,
no place of worship,
no place to communicate,
to be in touch with God;
Reading my puzzled mind,
I sensed a soothing whisper,
informing me that after leaving
my physical body on Earth,
my Soul is in the
waiting room of Karma,
to be fitted out in a body form,
I am worthy of being qualified to be in,
as per quality of present karmas
and accumulated net value of
my past life karmas;
Seeing weird creepy slimy
cringy ugly repulsive,
mentally disturbed, physically
distorted, rotting diseased
dismembered body forms,
as my spirit dipped,
sank in anguish,
took a dive in despair,
Soul shivered shuddering
at the prospect of living
in one of these body forms;
I saw some
beautiful human frames,
felt assured that
I will be
fitted in a
superior form,
as I had been
very religious,
regularly
visiting places of worship,
devoting time for
prayers,
doling out
charity to those in need,
pious devout to
the core,
loyal to my
appointed God,
even being
violently aggressive,
in support of my Dharmic
beliefs,
fighting with other
religious groups,
defending trust in my faith.
