GRATEFUL TO GOD

I am grateful to God,
for being my rock solid
Pillar of strength,
standing behind me,
in every phase of my life,
in all my trials & tribulations,
giving me that extra courage,
confidence which I didn’t possess,
to face difficulties with ease,
and ability to stay humble,
when life is a tease;
I am grateful to God,
for providing me with
an upright righteous Soul,
possessing a very strong will,
having control over my senses,
guiding me to the right path,
to live a staid stable life,
shielding me from falling
into the pit of greed,
reining me from venturing
into the lane of lust;
I am grateful to God,
for still keeping me fairly fit,
my faculties mostly working,
keeping me standing
firmly on my feet,
steady in every aspect of life,
living a relatively healthy life,
capable to do most of my chores,
not in great trouble,
nor a trouble for dear ones;
I am grateful to God,
for taking care to give me,
in every phase of my life,
an able loving guiding angel,
doting caring protecting parents,
adjusting cooperative siblings,
very supportive family members,
egging encouraging teachers,
unstinting trust of friends,
competitive prodding colleagues,
all helping me grow and progress;
Today on my 66th Birthday,
and the life still ahead of me,
I Plead to God, like always,
please stand beside me,
be my intrinsic spirit,
giving me the courage,
to accept all my faults,
strength to atone for it,
to forgive all my Sins,
which unknowingly knowingly
intentionally unintentionally
I may have committed.
