CATCHING SUNBEAM

My grandson is nowadays
fascinated by the sunrays,
crawls and slides towards,
designs created on the floor,
by sunbeam peeping thru
gaps in window panes,
he tries to pin it down,
grip it in his tiny hands,
giving a puzzled looked,
seeing his empty hand,
when his efforts go in vain,
relentlessly renews his efforts,
till his spirits dim,
tired and exhausted,
he puts his head down,
to relax to recuperate,
to again try to catch,
the elusive golden mirage,
to hold on to intangible light
of unbridled joy & happiness,
exactly like all of us,
struggling and striving,
expecting intangible joy of bliss,
peace and happiness,
wasting all our energy,
precious life running,
after tangible objects,
temporary material happiness.
