AS WE AGE

As we age,
as we grow older,
we have to learn,
to be nearer to self,
closer to reality,
we have to reinvent,
we have to adopt
to changing times,
to live a fruitful
purposeful stable life,
with dignity n pride,
we have to change
our way of life,
from being main factor,
to a guiding mentor,
subtly imparting,
without imposing,
asset of values
experience knowledge,
gained in life, as
to be a boon,
than being a bane;
As we age,
as we grow older,
we have to learn,
to be nearer to self,
closer to reality,
we have to realize,
our generation is passe,
our thoughts are passe,
we are living amidst,
new generation,
new thoughts,
of our generation,
we are lucky few,
our co-age friends
relatives companions,
are getting sparse,
living in our thoughts,
as sweet nostalgic,
memories of past;
As we age,
as we grow older,
we have to learn,
to be nearer to self,
closer to reality,
when our faculties
start failing,
when our vision
starts to dim,
when we are
short of hearing,
when we lose strength,
our limbs go weak,
thoughts are fuzzy,
mind is in a tizzy,
we have to realize,
not to be a burden,
but add value to self,
by not asserting,
by not interfering,
by keeping to self,
by restricting ourself,
with self-respect,
without being subservient,
willingly be at service,
be a guiding hand.
