Today is my 65th Birthday,

I am puzzled indecisive,

what to do,

what not to do,

what to wish,

what not to wish,

should I buy new clothes,

which I have no need,

should I give a party,

or should I get a party,

should I do things,

which don’t enthuse me,

just to keep the façade,

just to feed accepted norms;

 

Today is my 65th Birthday,

I have got the ultimate

gift a man could ask,

God has bestowed

upon me, this year

a divine gift,

our love our life,

birth of an

angelic grandchild,

my only wish is that

God light up for me

the right path,

the only thing I ask for is

that God give me strength

to never waver away

from that right path,

I have nothing more to wish,

nothing more to ask,

I just pray to be

closer to my family,

my family closer to me;

 

Today is my 65th Birthday,

by God’s grace,

I have lived my life

to the fullest, I had

my share of struggle,

my share of strife,

boldly squarely faced,

I have taken it all

in my stride, I had

my share of happiness,

from scratch I started,

I have been lucky,

God has fulfilled

all my wants, given me

nearly everything,

I don’t have any cravings,

I am happy with self,

I am happy with life,

I am happy with

what I have got.
