WHY I WRITE

People ask me
reason why I write,
what I gain,
wasting so much
of my precious time,
in their way,
they may be right,
materialist mindset,
don’t see any gain in sight,
counts money as right;
I write to give wings
to my thoughts,
I write to feed
my hungry thoughts,
I write to articulate
my own thoughts,
I curl in a shell,
of my own mind,
to pen my inner thoughts;
To unwind to relax
to get closer to self
to get some quality
selfish ME time,
I give some time,
to my thirsty thoughts,
to quench cravings of
a fertile restive mind;
Life runs its course,
living for others,
living others life,
caring for elders,
sharing with siblings,
bearing rearing offspring,
earning to live
a satisfactory life,
takes all of our time,
to meet self, we
don’t get time;
We all are so engrossed
in our own duties,
our own world,
we don’t have time,
to think of
our own thoughts,
so how can we feel
for others views,
for others thoughts,
to live peacefully,
have harmonious thoughts;
World will be at ease,
all will be in peace,
to satisfy that tweak
if one could squeak,
some time to meet,
that secret inner feel,
to feed the twinge,
chase passion n binge.
