THOUGHTS OF RETIREMENT

Standing on the

sands of time,

basking in the

post retirement,

of new era dawn;

Waves of emotions

cascades down,

engulfing you, with

memories of yore

some sweet some sore;

Whirling waters

shifting sands

tickles soul,

bringing warmth

as amber glow, from

memories galore; 

Water ebbs again,

sure to come back,

shifting sands of

memories,

leaving wet soul,

memories sticking

as sands of time; 

May the tide

of good tidings

always encircle you

basking in the warmth

of loved ones,

may good health

be your companion

prosperity be

your friend, for

eons to come.

DAHISAR & ME GREW TOGETHER More than 70 years ago my Grandparents, Paternal (Bedi’s) & Maternal (Punjabi’s), settled in Dahisar. Dahisar, an idyllic village was the entry point station of Mahanagar Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay. Dahisar was a small village within a mega city. East Indians, Panchkalshi, Agri, Koli, Warli & Dubli were the original residents of Dahisar & “Dahi” stands for ten in their language.
