Swinging Palm

Your slight frame,

poised beautifully, with

waist thrust forward,

back arched back,

knees slightly bend,

your left hand holding,

thick mane of silky

cascading hair, a comb

in your right hand, your

shapely eyebrows knitted,

fixed in a concentrated gaze,

over your doe like eyes,

in act of combing your hair;


A bunch of naughty curly strand,

mischievously slips out

from your hand, slithering

down your forehead, curling

around your rosy cheeks;


Gives a glimpse of serenic nature,

of a half crescent moon

in a patch of clear sky,

amidst fully clouded sky,

your beautifully poised stance,

evokes image of a tree of palm

swaying in cool sea breeze.
