HEAD HELD HIGH

You are an achiever

when nearing twilight

of career,

your conscience is

free of guilt,

your soul is full

of good wishes;

You are an achiever

when you have

harnessed time, while

performing duties,

fulfilling obligations

with reins of patience

on path of integrity;

steered by sincerity;

You are an achiever

when your calmness

lulls the customers

into feeling of

work done ably:

You are an achiever,

when colleagues

see you as friend

friends see you as

one of noble deeds;

You are an achiever,

when void of your

presence, is felt

in absence of

an helping hand;

You are an achiever

when nearing twilight,

robust faculties

raring capabilities

are still the guiding

lights, to cross

the threshold

with head held high

towards fresh

challenges and

new horizons;

DAHISAR & ME GREW TOGETHER More than 70 years ago my Grandparents, Paternal (Bedi’s) & Maternal (Punjabi’s), settled in Dahisar. Dahisar, an idyllic village was the entry point station of Mahanagar Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay. Dahisar was a small village within a mega city. East Indians, Panchkalshi, Agri, Koli, Warli & Dubli were the original residents of Dahisar & “Dahi” stands for ten in their language.
