I AM LUCKY 

I am lucky,

survived struggling

childhood,

as good friends

supporting kins

understanding neighbours,

made me feel as one; 

I am lucky,

craving childhood,

depraved aspiration,

helped develop resolve

to face any desperation,

as God`s strength

was behind me.

I am lucky,

my childhood helped,

when in youth,

was booted, haunted out

of family comfort.

God`s strength was with me,

helping me struggle,

strive, survive,

to build a home,

career & future

of our new being,

our child our pride;

I am lucky,

pain of separation,

drowned in devotion,

of our pride`s growth;

our every breath

was for his life,

our every effort

was for his comfort,

our every action

was for his growth; 

I am lucky,

God helped nurture,

shape our pride`s future:

life seemed steady,

secure & comfortable;

I am lucky,

resilience, gained

through past tribulations,

kept me steady,

sailing thru turbulence,

when our pride,

took a stride,

towards inclusive future,

leaving us, as past.

I am lucky,

God stood by me,

giving strength,

to look beyond

despair, see light,

see life, as an

uplifting journey,

touched by people,

perceived by us, as

good bad ugly;

In the end,

soul`s essence,

is to be sole,

nothing, nobody

stands by you;

I am lucky,

that God`s grace,

God`s strength,

stood by me

firmly assuring

trust & faith.
