LOVE NOT HATE.

I bought a match box

to burn the thought of

revenge in my heart; 

I bought a coolant

to douse fire of

hatred inside me; 

I bought ice to

cool heat of

envy inside me; 

My desires i throttled,

when lust

sired my desires; 

I bought thoughts

to stop cravings

of greed inside me; 

I bought balm to

soothe frayed nerves; 

I bought sugar to

sweeten soured relations; 

I bought salt

to enhance flavours

of togetherness; 

I bought spices to

add zest to life; 

I bought fragrance to

spread scent of godliness; 

I spread my arms

far n wide; 

I bought n bought

with a thought,

that material things can

change my heart; 

Distraught dejected

failed I thought,

to pray i bowed to Lord,

compassion engulfed me

showering love for all; 

As love spread

tranquility prevailed

peace filled my heart

throwing out all the ills,

my arms folded,

Embracing love of Lord.
